Location: 20 miles west of Cody, Wyoming and 33 miles east of the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The guest house is situated at 7,000 feet on the Four Bear Ranch.

Facilities: The guest house is nearly 3,000 square feet, with panoramic views of the surrounding Absaroka mountains, and accommodates a maximum of six people. There are three bedrooms - one with a King Bed, one with two double beds, and one with two twin beds - as well as 2 1/2 baths, a kitchen, dining room, and large living room. Full housekeeping facilities are provided, including a range and oven, microwave, washer and dryer, and bed linens and towels. The kitchen and pantry area is stocked with cooking utensils, glasses, flatware, paper goods, spices, and basic cleaning supplies. A Weber grill is provided for outdoor cooking.

Shopping: Groceries may be purchased at Albertson's as well as the Wal-Mart Supercenter (located on Cody's "West Strip," on the way to the Ranch). There is also a Big K Mart (on the east side of town on the way to the airport). A limited amount of food and staples can be purchased at the Red Barn Store in Wapiti. Restaurants: There are numerous restaurants in Cody, in addition to several good restaurants on the Northfork Highway in close proximity to the ranch. Please see Food and Dining for more information.

Fishing, Riding, and Hiking: There is public access to the North Fork of the Shoshone River, located just below the ranch entrance, in addition to excellent fishing inside Yellowstone National Park. Hourly, half-day, and full day trail rides on horseback can be arranged at several locations near the ranch. Excellent hiking trails exist both on the ranch and in the surrounding Shoshone National Forest, as well as inside Yellowstone National Park. Other Attractions: The Buffalo Bill Historical Center, the headquarters of the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep, the Cody Nite Rode, the Cody Stampede Rodeo and Parade (July 1-4), and the Buffalo Bill Dam Visitor's Center are among the other attractions in the Cody area. White water rafting and float trips along the Shoshone river are offered by local companies. The Olive Glenn Golf & Country Club in Cody is open to the public and features an 18 hole championship golf course, driving range, putting green, pro shop, restaurant, tennis courts, exercise room, and swimming pool. Medical Facilities: West Park Hospital in Cody offers a full range of routine and emergency medical services, as well as a walk-in clinic. Additional medical facilities include the Cody Clinic, Deaconess Cody Clinic and the Northern Wyoming Surgical Center.

Wildlife: We share our surroundings with all manner of indigenous wildlife. Eagles nest in the nearby cliffs. Grizzly and black bears, moose, and coyotes inhabit the area, and elk and mule deer migrate to the ranch in September and October.

How to Get to Cody: Cody's Yellowstone Regional Airport is served by non-stop flights from Salt Lake City on Sky West (a Delta Connection carrier). Beginning in the late spring or early summer of 2004, it is expected that both Mesa and Sky West, operating as United Express carriers, will offer non-stop service to Denver. Rental cars at the airport can be secured from Budget, Hertz, and Thrifty.

Season: June through September

Rates: Rates are available upon request and a one week minimum stay is required. A 50% deposit is necessary to confirm booking. There is no smoking within the guest house, and pets and firearms are prohibited.
